introduction

A one year part-time Supervisor training is being offered to train practising psychotherapists and counsellors to work as supervisors from a spiritual perspective with individuals and groups.

CCPE has been offering training in individual and group supervision since 1993.

This course may be considered as a post-Diploma training for the position of Supervisor, as suggested by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and may also be used as a training to prepare for eligibility for BAC accreditation as a supervisor. A diploma certificate will be issued on completion of the course and course requirements.

aims

  • To enable participants to gain a sound knowledge of the theory and practice of supervision from a transpersonal integrative perspective such that they are able to supervise trainees and practising professionals either individually or in groups.
  • To enable participants to enhance their own psychotherapeutic work with clients by developing a reflective internal supervisor.
  • To facilitate a deeper inquiry into the participants’ own spiritual and personal unfoldment and enhance their knowledge of the transpersonal integrative perspective.

course design

The course curriculum has been set out in four modules. Course modules will be delivered in an integrated manner.  There are 30 morning sessions of two and a half hours which will be both theoretical and practical.  There are four training weekends, two of which focus on the process of supervision of both individuals and groups, and two which focus on the transpersonal perspective.

Participants will be encouraged throughout the training to develop their connection to their transpersonal centre to bring presence and awareness of a more subtle dimension to their roles as psychotherapist and supervisor.

Group supervision on a fortnightly basis of your practicum group supervision is an integral part of the training.  Group supervision takes place immediately after the morning training session. Case discussions from a transpersonal and integrative perspective form an integral part of the training.
